Ambient sound problem

Post by pcelt »

Noticed recently that there appears to be very little ambient sound on any map. Ambient sound files are present and test OK but in game are not at all evident.Get the bell near G'burg and a few creak noises but nothing much else on any map-------any suggestions for checks I might make to uncover possible cause.
Thanks

If you got the bell and the creeks, then they are working as designed. They are spread out and not on every inch of the map, but there are 50 to 60 sounds on the Gettysburg maps.

The wind never got over 5 MPH for the entire 3 days of battle. The armies and random animal sounds were all that there was to hear. If you read line soldiers account of day 3 they speak of the almost total silence at midday.
