The Prarie Grove maps.....

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

The Prarie Grove maps.....

Post by gbs »

Are the best looking yet. I've driven through Arkansas in winter and it looks just like that. The Secessionville maps also look just like the barrier islands south of Charleston. Just magnificent work. You guys keep getting better.

The poor guys plodding around in shirtsleeves looked a bit incongruous though in the winter season. Perhaps Washington had the right idea in laying up for the whole winter ..... but nearly starving in the process.

Another factor I must research as the ACW spread over several winters and some States can get cruelly cold.

Geoff Laver Late of Her Britannic Majesty's 57th Regiment of Foot
"Die hard, my men. Die hard the 57th."
Last words of Col Ingles commanding His Majesty's 57th Regiment of Foot at Albuhera 1811

Marshal Beresford wrote in his despatch "Our dead, particularly the 57th Regiment, were lying as they fought in the ranks, every wound in front"
