SOW GB 1.5 deactivation
SOW GB 1.5 deactivation
Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere but after searching for a good while i can'[t find anything on it. I am attempting to deactivate my copy of SOW in order to play it on my laptop, ive deactivated the game before on patch version 1.4 and remember there being an option on the menu which i cannot see on the 1.5 version. Can anyone advise me on what im supposed to do to deactivate the game?

With V1.5, the 'Deactivation' feature is no longer needed....

Re: SOW GB 1.5 deactivation
You need to install the 1.5 version on your laptop also...uninstall 1.4 first. When properly installed, Patch 1.5 allows multiple installs on YOUR computers using the same reg code.so this means i cannot run the game on more than one computer as when i enter my key into the laptop it asks me to deactivate the key on the pc.

Reb, are you saying that sense I have bought Gettysburg, Pipe Creek, Antietam, and Chancellorsville, I can download them all on my wife's computer and even my secret hot machine that I built , which is in the garage aka my man's room? I have registered them all on Matrix as well with the 1.5 upgrade. Say it is so my friend.

Please note that you cannot play MP against a machine with the same reg code. This is true for LAN or internet MP. The game is not that expensive. B)

RB/Jim,
Does this also mean I can run two versions of the game on the same computer using the same activation code?

I haven't verified it, but I believe the answer is yes. Basically, the version you own has a unique activation code. As long as you know the code, you should be able to install multiple copies of that specific copy of the game. I don't believe the code is validated against any Internet database, just against the copy you own.RB/Jim,

Chon,
Thanks. We shall find out today. Will attempt it here in just a little while, (actually have some free time - HA!), and report back.

Yes - you can have multiple copies of the game on the same computer. However, you cannot have them both activated with the same code at the same time. One must be deactivated to use the other. Cool!
