Im dabbling in the art of scenario creating. I got all the opening positions sorted and units are moved here and there to hug woods and walls, stay on roads etc. The problem I have now is choosing the correct commands for the script to do what I want the AI to do.
I would like the units ive strategicaly placed on walls to stay put on both sides. I have an idea on how to do this by using the 'stay' order, but was wondering if there was a better way, should i detach units first for example? I also want some units to start moving only if the enemy get close so again was wondering what the best way to do this was.

Re: Scenario creating - making regiments stay put
Orders won't do it, gotta TC the brigade commander, then use evtfighting, tcommoff. Or, if you really want them to stick individually, TC each regiment, and again, evtfighting, tcommoff for each regiment. Use evtdistarg to get them to move as the enemy gets close, but careful, this won't work with TC'd regiments, or any unit TC'd.

Thanks Reb. My first scenario i'm trying to do is an attack one so getting the defending AI to stay put wasn't working, i'll give this a go.
