Armies of Italy OOB
Re: Armies of Italy OOB
As far as changing movment rates goes, it could be done. If you wanted to, make amod of the "unitglobal.csv" file decrease the Walk and Run speeds for Austrian units. Not something I will be doing though as I think its fine to have all units the same for the purpose of gaming.Hi folks.
Thanks to Jack, Zeke and Gunship24 for the Napoleonic mods. They are outstanding. Love the different uniforms and OOBs.
Two questions:
1) Do any of these mods factor in different march rates used by the different force? I read somewhere that the Austrians, especially in the earlier years, marched at a slower pace than the French formations and deployed more slowly into line, etc.
2) How are skirmishers factored into combat (if they are)?
Jack, the stock mod comes with a weapon which is 130 yards designed to sit out side the normal 120, its called "Charleville M 1777 Year IX_sk", the sk refereing to units designed to skirmish.

Gun,
Yes. I modded the ranges to 100 yards for regular troops, 120 yards for units which can skirmish and 150 yards for the Baker rifle. I figured Cavalry wouldn't just sit back and get shot without charging, so Cavalry's auto-charge range of 100 yards works fine with the mod.

yea the cavalry sitting there was an odd thing. Good that a recent SOW patch made them fallback at least out of harms way.

Re: Armies of Italy OOB
Okay Kids,
Major news!
The Waterloo OOB is 95% finished. I have been playtesting it for awhile now as I add new units. Need some help - Suggestions on what existing sprites to use for Dutch-Belgian Carabiniers. Everybody else I can fudge around a bit on. I cannot make up my mind. A little help would be appreciated. If I can figure out which sprites to use, I can test it out and possibly post it this weekend. Thats it for now.
