BCDEdit, and EASYBCD (Easy work when you know what the hell you are doing).

Here you can talk about whatever floats your boat. Your favorite movie, sports team, etc. If it's a little racey, I suggest you post in R&R, otherwise we'll move it for you.

BCDEdit, and EASYBCD (Easy work when you know what the hell you are doing).

Post by Michael Slaunwhite »

Okay some folks will know what I am talking about when I mention Boot Record, and who happen to have two OS's or more installed on their computers. For example, I have Windows 7 Ultimate, and Windows 8 Business edition installed (Windows 8 version is a tryout.), and I will soon be forced to uninstall Windows 8 since I am now a few days away from it expiring, and I'll be forced too install a full fledged copy (which I have ready to use - Burned to DVD).

Now since I am dual-booting, I am going to make sure I remove Windows 8 from my boot record before re-installing, and too clean it up a bit just so I can make sure my full install of Windows 8 goes without a hitch, and the software I will be using is called EasyBCD.

Now I do have two pieces of software which I could use, one is called Visual BCDeditor which is a very extended version that can confuse the hell out of the novice user, and another which I have mentioned above called EASYBCD which is so easy to use, that it's shameful something this powerful can be made so easy.

Best thing about these two pieces of software is that you can also repair your MBR, and also add, or delete existing records.

Anyway, here are the links to both of these pieces of software.

Disclaimer: I cannot be held responsible for any problems which you may face when using any of these programs. I can assure you however that these do work flawlessly, and I STRONGLY suggest that you read everything they have posted, and visit their forums before trying them out.

If all you know is how to turn on your computer, and know the basic of how to install software, and start them, then I suggest that you DO NOT use this software. I am not trying to be insulting, this software is not to be taken lightly.
