Re: MadMinute
I joined the MMG forum in February, 2007, when sides had already been taken. I vaguely remember not knowing what the hell was going on when I heard whispers of discontent. I do remember however when the boards were locked down; I logged in one day and was greeted with only the choice of perusing through old threads.
Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure.

MS: I was approached and agreed to this interview. I had no idea what the article said until it came out. I just talked to Rob on Skype. I was very paranoid because I was really afraid of the entire witch hunt starting again, so I had been dreading the day it made print.I have read from start to finish. I'm still not understanding why anyone would even write about this, I mean that is a personal matter, and only meant to be between Norb, and Bryant.
What I have gathered from what I have read is more along the lines of two good friends working together for a common cause eventually moving apart due to personal strain which then moved it's way professionally.
For me, I think this should have stayed a private, and personal matter only, and not spoken or written about by a third party.
I'm sorry Norb that this happened, and I'm also sorry that this had to be written about.
I did it because it gives more publicity to what we do here and I wanted people to know that the ugliest rumors about what happened were not true. I am talking about those that say 'as we were working my partner got cancer and could not do his work anymore so I tricked him out of his share and then he died'. Yes, someone recently on the Matrix forum thought this was true. So I wanted that put to rest.
AG: He didn't mention everything though, the article would go on forever. I was so mad that day. I was getting lawyer threats from him, I was fighting to keep MMG alive, and getting attacked on my own home turf. Anyway that's how I saw it. So I locked down the forum AND started the purge process. The one that just wipes out all posts older than a certain date. I get an email from ADukes, going 'where are all the posts', and I felt guilty and stopped it, but not before a ton of content was lost. I really was seeing red.

Well. . . I didn't know about any of this. But that's a very interesting read. I'm really sorry you and Adam had to go through that battle. Really sad.
But I want to thank you for persevering. I wish the journey had been less rocky, but I can't say it wasn't worth it.
I've been playing war games my whole life, basically. First computer war game I bought was SSI's "Kampfgruppe" back in the late 80s. And there is no doubt SOW is the finest computer war game ever made, hands down.
Thanks to everyone involved in its creation.

@Norb: No doubt you would be apprehensive about allowing someone to write about this, especially when you might not have seen the final draft before approving it for publication, and that in itself says allot about you Norb. It takes courage to re-visit something this hard, and hurtful as this time was for You, and Bryant.
I hope this fellow who wrote this article has done right by you Norb, and to Bryant as well.
Take care Norb, and again it takes guts to do what you have done.
