[Windows 7] - What to do when your system after awhile becomes sluggish.

Here you can talk about whatever floats your boat. Your favorite movie, sports team, etc. If it's a little racey, I suggest you post in R&R, otherwise we'll move it for you.

[Windows 7] - What to do when your system after awhile becomes sluggish.

Post by Michael Slaunwhite »

Hey guys.

I have noticed that after a few hours of game play, and messing around I found my system become sluggish, and not as snappy as it was when I turned Esmeralda on in the morning.

Well this is how you do it, and it's safe guys. I use it, and it's something that techie sites recommend, and you do not require to download any software.

> Right Click on your Desktop.
> Scroll down to NEW -> Shortcut
> Copy, and Paste the below info into the Empty Slot. You do not need to browse.

%windir%\system32\rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks

>Select NEXT
>Enter any name. (eg. Clean Services or something along those lines. Better to name it to something that you know what you are looking at).
>Select FINISH.

You will now see your system react faster after you do this. ONLY do it once in awhile if you see your system is getting a bt slow.

NOTE: For those Windows 8 users. I have found it that it doesn't work as well as it does for Windows 7 for some odd reason.

:)
