I don't know anymore...

Here you can talk about whatever floats your boat. Your favorite movie, sports team, etc. If it's a little racey, I suggest you post in R&R, otherwise we'll move it for you.

I don't know anymore...

Post by Michael Slaunwhite »

Hi Guys.

For the last couple of days I have been reading mountains of posts about how EA's PR department, and how they are continuously lying too the gamers out there. Now I posted a link to a game called Civtas (City building game in progress) which hopefully would fill the vacuum of EA's debacle.

I am now finding out this could be a scam as well, something people call vaporware. The unfortunate side to this sort of billing is that they were asking for support from the public through donations, and with your donation would provide you with access to a beta, or something more substantial when released... Unfortunately now something smells as the devs abruptly stopped the funding from people only saying that they now have private backers without providing the name. Before I even started to read the comments this smelled, and low, and behold others feel the same way, and are pretty upset about it.

Here is the link to the comments if you are interested: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/158 ... d/comments

You know, what is going on here?

Now this isn't a plug for NSD in any way shape or form, but you know back in 2010 when Norb released SOWgb, I was a little apprehensive of purchasing SOW because of the online activation, and after talking about it via this forum, I finally decided to purchase the game. I purchased the game not because I thought I would give it a chance, but it was because Norb promised me that he would remove the DRM before they moved on to their next project.

Now I know Norb didn't remove the DRM from SOW for me personally, it was because the signed on with Matrix, and Slitherine, but all the same, Norb kept his promise too me which mean allot.

Thanks Norb, I really do appreciate what you, and the team have put forward, and at least there is a place I can go, and not be lied to.

Now, I don't know Norb personally, or any of the team, but you can get a sense of where someone has come from, and where they are going from reading their posts, and I can only speak for myself, but I trust you Norb, and I trust the team. What you say, I listen too, and you will stand by your word.

Anyway, thanks Norb, and Team for being honest.
