Some wilderness maps

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Some wilderness maps

Post by Garnier »

Download (3 maps, 18MB)

I made a variant on the random maps to make them more like wildnerness. No fields, farms or stone walls. There are still some roads on these, although maybe in the future I'll make some without roads.

They're pretty bland but sometimes that's what is wanted.

Can these be put into the GCM launcher? They might be a fun change of pace...

Sorry about the link, I've fixed it now.

And yeah, I suppose could include a plain map like this in the next GCM batch.

That 3rd map will make a nice addition to the Nap maps. ;) Many thanks.
I can make this march and I will make Georgia howl.

Thanks a lot. Excellent maps.

I notice that all the objectives had gone from the csv but of course the names would be a nonsense in a pure 'wilderness' map.

Personally I have restored all the objectives as I like to have them in play. I have however renamed them 'objective 01". "objective 02' and so on. This let's them still function in the various sandbox options.

A map without roads sounds like an interesting change.
I would like to see the AI taking a direct route to an objective.
