I have a question about where the AI places each battalion in its brigade when it deploys. Is there some algorithm that defines this? I presume there is. What I mean is, when you order a brigde to deploy in a single line does it take the first btn in the OOB and place it on the left, then the second to its right and so on? Or something different? I can see the AI is using a fixed sequence but I can't work out what it is.
Also in a double line deployment, what logic is used there? Is the right hand last few btns just moved to be behind the front (left hand) units or something else?
Also I se that with a 6 btn brigade the AI deploys 4 up and 2 in rear. Is there any way to get it to deploy 3 up and 3 behind (which I find tactically more useful).
By knowing how the AI deploys its brigades I can then list the btns in a certain order in the OOB so that a preferred deployment sequence is achieved.
Thanks.

The units are arranged in the order prescribed by the formation they are part of. Go to drills.csv, find the formation you are interested in and there you will see the positioning of each sub-unit.
I can make this march and I will make Georgia howl.
