Is there a way to get a more of a birds eye view to see battle. I believe it would be really neat

A way to move the camera at a more pulled back view. Even a overhead view would be really cool.

You can move the camera freely - unless you're playing with restricted camera. You aren't playing at historical difficulty are you?

In the options menu, 'Historical' difficulty would be selected rather than 'Normal' You'd know if you were - the camera would be pretty much glued to the general sprite.

On 'Normal' you should be able to pan around, move the camera up for a birds eye view, etc. Make sure you haven't hit off the zoom key by accident (defaults as Z on the keyboard).

Also make sure you haven't hit off the 'F' key - it locks the camera to the general sprite.
