This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Okay here we go here is my new OOB pack for the Peninsula Campaign of 1862 beta release.

Same instructions as before with Jackson Valley Campaign the download link is here:

https://skydrive.live.com/embed?cid=15E ... OAkVYRy7vg

•Ensure you have the latest patch of SOW installed.

•Ensure you have download Reb Buglers "Bugles and Flags" mod the latest can be found here www.norbsoftdev.net/forum/modifications ... flags-xii- DO THIS FIRST before installing my mod drop into the mod folder and then activate in the modifications section.

•Download my mod.

•Drop "Peninsula Campaign" into your mod folder.

•Open the game and select the new "Peninsula Campaign" mod now showing in the Modifications section

•Now go to Sandbox and all the OOBs will be showing I have done them in numerical order of which they ran in the campaign.

Please read the overview as this will give you a really good overview of the campaign on how it should be fought (or how it should not be fought!)

Important: Please ensure that you deselect Jackson’s 1862 Valley campaign mod before selecting the Peninsula Mod.

Any problems please post and I will amend any errors highlighted ;) B)

Enjoy

Two years ago I released my Atlanta Campaign for TC2M it spawned a whole load of interest and Crikey trumped me with some superb maps of the campaign!(Still love those maps C) I still have a fair amount of work to do so this isn't going to be released next week but should be ready for later this year hopefully B)

This campaign is actually one of my favourites and I have studied it many times over the years. The fall of the “Gate City” Atlanta was one of the most important events of the Civil War and elevated Sherman from a mere general to a national icon and hero (well,in the North anyway!).

Sherman is recognised as one of the first military leaders in history to utilise the concept of “Total War”(in a modern industrial context)and this campaign and his others are studied by military scholars around the world to this day. At the start of the war many thought Sherman insane for even daring to suggest that the war would be so long and bloody, by the end of the war with over 600,000 dead on the field of combat they would eat their words.

Sherman famously said “War is Hell”.........Let’s find out.

I leave the final words for 'old Cump' himself:

I'll be back with updates soon :)

Thank you Zeke. I have been playing using the Peninsula units and really love it. and now you announce The Atlanta Campaign. This is truly a great year for SOW. Get some one to revamp those TC2M maps and we have 2014 year of greatness coming. Perryville Campaign is still in my dreams. Keep up the good work, all of you.
Thank you

You more than welcome my friend! :)

I would love to see some maps for this campaign but I think the very talented few who can are rather busy elsewhere on their new project, but we live in hope  ;) B)

Ah Perryville, I'll join you on wishing for that one! Never say never :)

Hi Guys

Well Atlanta research is proceeding well but I want to test a few things. So I thought I would release a smaller campaign just to try a couple of things  ;)

Hopefully you'll like some of the refinements :S But let me know what you think.

This is one of the campaigns that really gets forgotten when covering the Civil War which is actually why I embarked on this particular mod idea in the first place ..... So introducing:

Longstreet and Burnside in East Tennessee:

Image

It Features:

1/A mini overview of the campaign.
2/New Splash Screens.
3/Five new historical OOBs:
  • Lenoir's & Campbell's Station
  • Sanders Last Stand (Federal Cavalry's delaying action)
  • Siege of Knoxville
  • Bean's Station
  • Walkers Ford

And a couple of new additions ;)

Same instructions as before: Please ensure that you deactivate my other Campaign mods before activating the Knoxville Campaign (see instruction on first post)

Here's the link

Enjoy B) and let me know what you think

Too much info Rudy lol :pinch: :pinch:  ....I've let you off lightly with the Knoxville campaign though only a very light overview (6 pages).

The Confederate mod: Oops I must work on my permissions using skydrive!!! (didn't know you could see this  ) I nearly uploaded something else up there I'm glad I didn't now!!! The Confederate Cavalry Mod Uses the TC2M sprites with some new Cavalry OOBs which are based around the 1863 Gettysburg campaign - Martin James very kindly tested it for me and it works quite nicely (thanks Martin)I have incorporated the cavalry sprite element into the Knoxville campaign B)
