Basically - I have something that's showing:

"MCPHERSON'S FARM - 00:00:37 - 61/100"

Edit2; Ah ok I can see from the manual this is the "Objective Timer" - I'm playing one of the Day 1 stock scenarios from the SDK as Pettigrew. I "taken" against overwhelming odds :whistle: the two Orders Destination points and (presumably) been awarded points for doing so and I'm now wondering...

...what happens next?

You want to keep holding the objectives as long as possible since they give you a ton of points toward your final score. If you check the battle info (press escape during the battle) you can see how many points you need for a specific outcome. Not sure if that's what you were asking but I hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply. The issue was that having "taken" the objectives with 0 casualties inflicted or received, I got no further orders and the battle passed me by....

.... I now realise that what I needed to do was act more like my AI commanders and pay no attention to any orders and get stuck in. I've now replayed the scenario as Archer and that was great fun.

Are you playing sandbox? If so in my limited experience you kind of have to force a battle with the enemy sometimes and usually you get no orders besides to take the objective at the beginning. I've never had the enemy try to take the objective I'm supposed to take. I haven't played sandbox much though.
