The Prussians in the cornfield is a great shot. The terrain and those sprites look very cool. The slighty desaturated look really works well. B)

The maps of C'ville and Brandy Station were all very good, but that last picture leaves them all in the dust. Well done! The sprites look very good too. The Highlanders and arty crew look almost like miniatures. The Prussians uniforms seem a little purple to me.
I can make this march and I will make Georgia howl.

I agree with the positive comments about the last screenshot. It has a quality almost like a 19th century English landscape painting. Very engaging and evocative.
When I first saw it, it brought out in me a feeling of almost being there, but in a dream.
It reminded me of the feeling I had when I first saw actual battlefield photos of the Franco-Prussian war.
I have never figured out how to attach pics to this forum, so here's a link to the photos I'm talking about.

Outstanding work on the sprites, Tim.
Grats, mate B)
Map textures are fantastic as well.
Can't wait to buy it!

Thanks - put into practise all those lessons we learnt doing Gettysburg :silly: Plus Norbs added some nifty little features that really help. And new tools such as texture packer mean there's no longer endless hours of pasting into sprite sheets. :woohoo:

.... so basically he took all the fun out of it?
Does mixed sizing sprites still work?

haha - yes all those endless hours making contact sheets to find there's a gap in the alpha channel - oh the laughs we had.
Yes its still possible to mix sprites sizes but haven't done it yet. Lots of others things to implement first B)
