Hi all!
My Scourge of War has been running a bit slow recently:(
I am using the Napoleonic mods, as well as the new random maps and terrain.
Any advice on how to adjust the game to speed it up a bit?
Thanks!:)

Re: Advice for speeding the game up?
Hi Lord Ashram. There is a game speed option in the options section when you are in-game. Hit ESC, then select OPTIONS and the speed can be set to 1x, 2x or 3x, though this only makes the game clock run faster and so animations of the sprites are speeded up, so it looks like an old silent movie. However setting things to 3x during approach marches can save you time (though set scenario time is also consumed at the faster rate).
Was there any other way you wanted to speed things up? I'm a little curious about your comment as when the poop hits the fan I find 1x speed is actually too fast to easily cope sometimes.

HITS & Couriers - a different and realistic way to play SoW MP.

I'm not telling you anything that you don't already know but everybody has slightly different FPS depending on their Computer-Setup.
You can add the following line below in your SOWGB\Work\SOWGB.ini file (Configuration Settings).
[DEBUG]
DbgLvl=1
This will display the FPS while you are in the game which will allow you to see if the game is slowing down.
Also, you can enable \ disable - any Mods while you are testing this out!
Since you mentioned that this just started happening, also check to see if you are running any additional programs by looking at your Task Manager .

The only true logic is that, there is no true logic!

Re: Advice for speeding the game up?
Hey guys!
Sorry Saddle, I meant speed up in that my computer is slowing down because it is getting overworked:) Sorry, I knew that wasn't clear!
I will do that... the game is definitely stuttering along once action starts. I have the main Napoleonic mods installed, the new 100 maps and the accompanying terrain mod... I wonder if that is causing an issue.

Even the most powerful PC will struggle with large armies unless you turn the sprite ratio to 1:8.
Mostly in our MP games we play Corps v Corps battles at the regular 1:4 ratio.
Also, turning some of the graphics options in the 'options' page will speed things up a bit. Draw distance and tree percentage will effect the game speed. Try about 70% trees or less.
Hope this helps
