@ RebBugler \ Flag Questions

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Very unique...but really can't comment further without seeing the full animation.

D - you must have unequalled levels of patience to keep plugging away at this. Or is it madness? ;)

In truth I think I'd prefer something straighter. That way you get to see all the detail. Still much better than anything I could do. B)

Well, I think that madness probably wins here!

Hmm, I have always wanted the flags to sort of curl behind the men so I think that I'll continue this for a few months and see what I can come up with, besides I can always go back to the default ones.

Reb - Here is the flag and the settings, your criticism is welcomed after all you are the flag-expert here!

Sorry D, it keeps crashing. I've tried several ways to set it up to no avail. I suggest you set it up with the OOB included, or an all in one scenario setup.

Edit: Fixed it up for ya:

The attachment Flags_HQ1.zip is no longer available

Now folks can check it out as a sandbox mod, it should appear first on the OOB list in SB play.

Definitely unique, I prefer more movement, and that movement flowing through the flag from hoist to end. IOW, I see it as a WIP. Keep at it, flag making can have it's rewards for those that persevere, at least that was my calling. Saw an interesting quote, formula for success, recently: perseverance + talent = LUCK. With that I say...Good Luck

True, but I decided to concentrate on getting it up and running with the least amount of frames \ angles per sheet. Using the nine flags per sheet is very quick for testing different flags. This way if the flag doesn’t turn out too good, I’ve only spent ten-to-twenty minutes setting it up.

Absolutely a work-in-progress, I still have some interesting obstacles ahead of me, movement, shadows, and curling. I didn’t even mention that darn-stick, or flag-staff.

Very true!

Thanks for the input into this!
