Greetings and well met to all,
This is my first post on these boards, though I have been a long time and avid fan of the works and insight of many of the veterans here. This being said I have a question that I hope is not too obvious or often asked, but being a huge fan of high level immersion though still fully appreciating the stock scenario packs provided,I wonder if there is a way to override the smoke effects used by the stock game to match those of some of the excellent mods available? I have successfully changed out the stock sounds with ones that are,in my opinion, more fitting to my desired experience, but how and where to change this for the stock smoke still eludes me.I thank you in advance for any and all help, suggestions you may graciously provide.

Welcome Aboard!
Well, as you already know – the sounds have its own folder so changing any files there will be applied to the default scenarios.
The smoke-effects in the game are found under the Base \ Graphics \ Effects_01 file.
The problem here is not changing this file, but applying \ modifying those changes by using the efx.csv file that works with that file.
Since I don’t play any of the scenarios I’m not sure if any changes to the efx.csv file will be accepted by the default games.
A better answer would be to create a Mod with the changes to the smoke that you are going to use, and then move the scenarios from the default game into that mod.
This way your default game would remain untouched, and you would still have the desired smoke effects.
One of the Team-Members might provide you with a better answer \ solution.

The only true logic is that, there is no true logic!
