I went up to 1.61 and now the game ctd's and says "" input not supported ".

If it worked before 1.61, my guess would be it's a corrupt download. Maybe try re-downloading the patch again and re-updating.

I tried the redownload and install for the patch.

Just my luck, one of my favorite battles, Fontenoy, gets released and I am dead in the water.

I cannot remember if i played the game after I hooked up my monitor differently last month.

I am running off the 15pin? connection on my monitor now. I was using the HDMI before but it was playing havoc with my sound card.

I assume there is no way that the above change could cause SOW not to run?

I am seeing a lot of stuff on the web that points to a monitor issue with that error. Does it happen for all games, or just SOW?

I platy a lot of games and have only seen this problem with SOW.

I changed the input to HDMI and I was able to get to the mod screen and change it to Fontenoy.

I then started it and it crashed.

Is there a way to clear out the any mods before getting into the game?

Did you Disable the Mod in the Modifications Option of the menu or you can delete the mod and try again.

Is there a way to clear out the any mods before getting into the game?

Sure, just create a Temp Folder - and then just drag the entire Mod folder into it.

The game will start without showing any Mods.

After you fix the problem just drag the Mod folder back into your game.

I was able to get the game menu started. Then I removed all the mods to start over.

Now, when I start SOW it is stuck on the " Initializing " screen saying it is loading.

When I check the task manager it has stopped working, any thoughts?
