Dual Monitor Sound

Post by Harag »

I've just got two monitors and play getty on one and use the other for chat, but everytime I switch focus the sound goes on SOW - is there anyway to keep the sound playing when not focus?

I use two monitors and don't have that issue. How is your sound setup? Do you have speakers going to your motherboard sound card, or somewhere else?

Hi

Yes I have two normal desktop speakers plugged into the motherboard. I have windows 8.1 as well if that helps.

Ah, I re-read your post and I understand it more clearly now. Anytime you switch between SOW and another application, the sound will go out. Which chat software are you using? I know that TeamSpeak, Ventrilo, etc. are supposed to be good about running on their own and not interfering with the game. They utilize hot keys so you don't ever have to switch away from the game.

Keep in mind I'm referring to the voice chat only. If you are communicating via keyboard text, the sound will go out because again, you are switching tasks.
