SandBox Playing Poll?

Well here we have it, five people play Sandbox. That's enough support to release a "Scenario Design Package"....Can't wait!!!!

We will need another entry into the index called something like "User Submitted Scenarios"...I'm so excited!!!!! Will it be MultiPlayer?

Still, offering help to help set the standards....

I always play Sandbox in SP, and in MP our group uses one of the mods on here - the Scenario Generator - to create interesting MP games.

If I had one gripe with NSD its that they focus too much on historical scenarios. I know the game has to include these and their inclusion is something that other RTS games don't have, and I realise a lot of players enjoy them, but others don't and I would like to see more focus on different sandbox variants (with objectives, etc), a scenario generator and a slicker MP lobby in any subsequent release.

Well, I'm one of those "emphasis on historical scenarios" type guys. Still, I do agree that the sandbox segment is an important part of the game. I think the new open modding system and scenario design app will address many of these 'Sandbox Concerns'...coming with the next game.

Play with Chijohn on weekends, for design I use Laffy's scenario generator which I must say is a godsend and pure evil in some of the random deployments. I can design a scenario for our little group with multi Corps in about 6 min or so and be playing.

We play these generated scenarios in MP all the time.

Not familiar with the TalonSoft/Hps, and probably still couldn't compare as the SOW version is in design and testing stages.

The HPS/TalonSoft Scenario Designer was very easy to understand and use. I hope SOW follows suit?

I play Sandbox about once a month now.

A long time ago there was a denizen of this website named Glary who made some really good OOB's with reduced artillery. I still use them as they are amongst my favorites.

I seem to remember him posting that he had to move to Australia for his health.

Glary's advice for his OOB's was to play as a Division Commander, and follow the orders from the Corp Commander.

Which I do, although I am somewhat willful, especially after contact has been made by one of the other Divisions in my Corp.
