Quick Help Please...

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Quick Help Please...

Post by Jack ONeill »

All,

For the life of me I can't remember how to re-name a scenario so you can play ANY of the troops in it, not just the original designated ones AND THEN where do you put them after you do? Massive brain damage here.

Little help please?

Thanks.

Well to allow the player to command any unit, you just put a 0 for all of the CMDLVL lines in the scenario.ini

I'm not sure what you mean by "where do you put them after you do". Do you mean where do you put the scenario folder?

Thanks LP,

That's it - and then, yes, do you put them into the same Scenario folder as the originals or create a different one?

Later that day - Cool! Edited the names on two scenarios and put them back in the original folders. Worked like a charm. Damn I love this game!

You shouldn't have a Scenario folder for the originals, unless it is in a mod. Custom made scenarios will need to go in their own mod folder.

So it would look like Mods\Your Mod\Scenarios\Your Scenario\

I always thought you were "incredibly dense" even when you didn't try.

:P :P :P :P :P :P

You left yourself wide open for that one, Jack.
