Win 8.1 via "the lobby", with no problems !!

last night, for the first time since I had to go to Win 8.1, we played a 3-player game via the SOW lobby...with no issues! we even played a custom scenario that i'd built...

we had not tried a "lobby game" in months because any time we tried, and I was involved (the only one with Win 8) we crashed within 3-10 min...and it got real frustrating. so, at that point I followed instructions found here on how to setup to host a game, and that's the way we've been playing ever since (maybe the last 5-6 months)...

but last night neither other player could connect to the game I was hosting (again, via the SOW server... but using the "host", and for them "join", link) even though i'd setup the game exactly as we'd done many many times before...so, we decided "what the hell", let's give the old lobby another shot! so we did, and it worked...I still have no idea why all of a sudden my "hosting" didn't work (when it had worked, as always, twice in the last 5 days), but maybe it was something on my end...i'll have to test that again and see if it was a "one time thing"...

so, if Norbsoft has made improvements/upgrades to the server/lobby to accommodate Win 8 players...thanks! If they've done nothing, then I am clueless as to why, after all this time, it seems ok now...
