Can we get a video of 1:1 unit ratio play please?
I just want to see what it looks like for comparison and as proof

Re: Can we get a video of 1:1 unit ratio play please?
Aperantly even at 1:1 max sprites pr unit is 200.
But that has me wondering. Since the 52nd lights had 1050 they it will be represented with 200 sprites.
But what about single companies, a french company of 80 will be almost half as big as a battalion of 1000.
Or a squadron of hussars with 150 trooper will be as big as a battalion of 700 infantry.

I am very curious to see how 1:1 is done in practice. I think it would be fun to do some smaller scenarios at 1:1. You really have me worried now that 1:1 is a play on words rather than a true option because you say 200 is max sprites in a unit.

Being an old 28mm Napoleonic tabletop gamer, the default ratio looks fantastic, particularly when our tabletop gaming was based at around 1:20

I think there is some confusion here, the game is designed with a sprite ratio of 1:6. What 1:1 reference are we discussing?

You can increase and decrease the sprite ratio. I would prefer to game on 1:2 or 1:3 (if my pc can handle it)I think there is some confusion here, the game is designed with a sprite ratio of 1:6. What 1:1 reference are we discussing?
As those cav squadrons get tiny at 1:6

Re: Can we get a video of 1:1 unit ratio play please?
You can, but as previously mentioned there is a sprite limit per unit. The game is designed at 1:6, 1:4 is just as good, but remember the more sprites the more chances of units overlapping. You can set the sprite ratio for infantry and cavalry separately, so what you could do is leave the infantry at 1:6 or 1:4 to accommodate the big infantry battalions but maybe set it higher for cavalry squadrons.
Re: Can we get a video of 1:1 unit ratio play please?
So max sprites per unit is 200. What does a unit represent exactly... A company?
Re: Can we get a video of 1:1 unit ratio play please?
No, a unit represents a regiment. To be honest I do not know the max-sprite limit, but at 1:6 this means 200 sprites represents 1200 men.

A battalion.
