A Big Thanks

Post by KG_Soldier »

Where else ever has there been a game which offered so much access to the very people who do the nuts and bolts work on a game?

And to all the fine people pointing out flaws and mistakes that need fixing, please mind your tone.

I'm not calling anyone out, but one should avoid saying things like, and I'll paraphrase here and translate to Texan: "Hey Reb, you dumbass, ever heard of google?"

But seriously, compare the quality of Waterloo at release to Gettysburg at release.

Heck. . . we couldn't hardly play GB MP for a year or so.

Thanks to the Norbsoft team for making it so easy for players to offer input.

Yep, the team has been GREAT through the years at being open and responsive.

And often it opens them up to criticism because people say "why didn't you do this?" or that or whatever, which is why most devs don't interact much or be that open with players.

But it is great because everyone can understand how the game works and why things are happening and allows people to make suggestions. But as you say, some posters need to be a bit more respectful.

One thing about these games though is that they're so great, and have so much potential, that everyone always wants more more more! (me included) but we have to keep in mind there are limitations.

I just want to say game looks and sounds best yet and amazing. I am only into american history revolution/civil war so likely will not be getting this one this time. But the mini campaign map may in the end cause me to buy it, so I will keep an eye out. Norb soft guys are great on forum and make best tactical games I wish you guys all the luck and hope sales go great [Even if only my personal want of more civil war and revolutionary games down the road with mini campaign maps...... I would never go to work again].

God bless you guys.

Soldier is absolutely correct about MP play. First impression is that SOW-WL is light years ahead in MP game play stability. That is a big huge win in my opinion and one shared by the MP players I have spoken to. With any release there are issues, but so far there haven't been many game breakers I have seen. That is especially commendable compared to crap that is usually released on day 1 *cough*PARADOX*cough* these days in the gaming community.

Great job!
