Napoleon can't issue commands to corps commanders and have them move their corps. Only the corps commander moves.
Am I missing something here? Is it not possible for Napoleon to issue orders directly to corps commanders and have the whole corps move or do I have to issue commands directly to individual divisions only?

If this is a scenario, make sure subordinate officers are TC off or they won't follow orders.

Yes I can get them to follow orders with TC off but only separately one division at a time. I thought I was doing something wrong but now I think that there is no corps level command that can be given other than move the position of a corps commander. Corps must be micromanaged individually by division or is there some way to issue a corps level attack that I can't acess? I love this game and am enjoying it immensely but I'm a total newb.
Re: Napoleon can't issue commands to corps
i have that question too. i understand that if under a (marshall) corps
commander you attach a general, then giving the order to a marshall to
go somewhere that would include the division general (the one you attched)
as well. but i failed to do so.

I saw you made a similar quote in another thread and you seemed very sure about it. However, to the best of my knowledge units not within the same chain of command cannot be attached to another. For example, a unit in one division cannot be attached to another.i have that question too. i understand that if under a (marshall) corps

Maybe this is a courier and orders possibility, and if it is, courier folks really relish correcting me because contrary to their style of gameplay I always prefer to hover high to watch the action and expect my orders to be carried out immediately. :woohoo:

Are you saying the marshal just says Ney to your orders?

Ney.... The bravest of the brave.

I hate it when you're right Reb. Even with courier orders you cannot attach a unit to a different parent unit. It can only be attached back to the same parent. However, the courier system allows one to give orders to sister units and even your immediate superior.
