If you have Webroot AV installed on your sytem it mat be leading to problems with lagging.

I can report that, as of 18 June 2015, the technical support people at Webroot seem to have solved this problem.
All one must do is to email a technical support ticket to Webroot and notify of them of the problem. Ask them to "white list" all files related to SOWWL.
One cannot do this oneself manually, so, it is necessary to contact Webroot technical support.
