Solved - Battalions not firing in sandbox games.
My Battalions are not firing anymore for some reason. Skirmishers & artillery are working fine. Any ideas for a fix for this problem.

That's an odd one
- do they have line of sight to the enemy?
- do they have enough ammo?
- have you changed the AI thinking cycles or added any mods that do?
- have you a very, very large number of troops on the field?

Yes I've got line of site & plenty of ammo. I've not changed the AI thinking cycles or added any mods that do, it's a division v division game in a sandbox game. WL10 works fine.
I'll disable my mods one by one & see if it is any of them causing the problem. I also have a save but this site will not let me post it.

It's the Ch a Ch Garde and Pr Landwehr Cav mod that's causing the problem.

Ive just encountered this too. And I can concor its the new sprites that are causing it. Skirmishers shot fine, but any other inf unit will just stand there and not fire. It affects the both sides.

I have no clue why this is happening to others. I'm no Mod expert either.
In my case the Ch a Ch Garde and Pr Landwehr Cav mod worked. I even inserted/adapted the Mod into my personal mod, and had no problems.
I haven't posted my personal Mod because it's mostly a combination of other's mods with changes to suit my personal preferences. And now that I think about it, I need to write a credit list for my personal Mod.
I can relate to problems, I never did figure out why I couldn't play the Indians in the Little Big Horn Mod from SOW GB.
As stated in the SDK Manual: go slow, make a small change and test, test, test. When encountering problems always check the basics first. Example: I remember having to re download some of the SOW GB Mods, and then they would work.

It is possible that the addition of extra uniforms is causing some older systems to hit their max memory allowance - causing the Ai cycles to be delayed, LOS not being calculated and units not to fire. I know Tim was having to work to some restrictions when designing the new sprites to stop any memory issues occurring.
It would be interesting to hear the system specs on the PCs having problems.

A 64bit Windows, i7 and 12Gb ram certainly sounds like it should have no memory issues. What is the dedicated GPU - sorry if I'm missing that info somewhere there.
