Louie,

I agree with eliminating those already in place lunettes. When the game development gets to a point where it is an option for a gun crew to build a lunette (with an obvious fatigue penalty and defensive bonus) then that would be a good addition to game play.
I imagine this option would be in-line with building breastworks/gun pits if you're infantry (instead of arty).
And would be an awesome feature indeed! But it should indeed come with a penalty and should be overall difficult to do (as it was in the real ACW)... It could take several minutes to complete them, and yes they should receive a fatigue penalty.

So for example, if your forces are guarding an objective and its going to be a while before the enemy is near, you could have several regiments/guns build entrenchments. IMO, this would be an awesome feature.

I second AJ

Louie, the Lunettes would be nice if they were functional, you made the right decision. A green player might think they were of value.

I hope someday that rational thought comes into play in GB. HM4

It will, it just might not be in the first release.

I felt as though you had something along the entrenchment theme in the works, but also realize that you have alot of other issues on your plate to contend with first. :) HM4

Those screen shots just keep looking better and better! I really like the smoke and the sky against the terrain features. You guys even got the height of the crops correct. In Pennsylvania the corn should be knee high by the 4th of July and it looks to be about that. The wheat should be ready for harvest and be waist high and golden, got that too. The peaches should be just coming in and your got that correct. That is quite a bit of attention to detail. Great work team!!!
