Is there a way to edit a file to make my Space bar a Pause button?

I use the Pause button a lot in SP.

Also, is there any way to edit something so that during Pause, I can issue Commands?

Pretty sure you can assign pause to the spacebar via the keyboard.csv file - SPACE, pause. You'll have to delete the current SPACE assignment, or change it.

You can't give orders during pause, just pan around or cycle through the coc.

I really botched things up now. The P for Pause no longer works to pause. The Spacebar works as before. The Esc key doesn't bring up the menu to Save or Resign. It's a mess, but, not your fault, Reb.

I thought that I saved the original csv file but the computer now thinks it's a text file.

Oh, no. I installed and patched the game on my second computer and transferred the keyboard.csv file from the this second installation of the game to my first and intended to be only installation of the game. The problems remain.

I wonder if I will have to reinstall the whole game to fix this?

Here, I fixed up this file and tested it. Pause works but camera still moves up some. At least this will provide you with a keyboard.csv file.

The attachment keyboard_2016-01-14.csv is no longer available

Just a reminder, it goes in Documents/sowwl/, and rename it to keyboard.

It's working fine now, Reb, and, I really like having the big Spacebar serving as a second Pause button. The little upward nudge that the screen gets is a complete NON-factor.

I recommend this Reb keyboard.csv to everyone. It's quite convenient to have the SPACE bar serve as another Pause button.
