I think it's cool that some folks have had success in asking for support and getting it, it shows off the flexibility of the game and is downright realistic.

WL stock scenarios don't need help from friendly forces via support or any other 'send courier for help' messages in order to achieve a Major Victory. Having said that, help may be needed from friendlies, depending on the scenario, but courier messages are never a required part of the testing procedures in determining the victory conditions.
