Hi guys
Unfortunately I don’t have a copy of Davinci’s mod, but here is a dropbox link to the last distributed version of the Additional ACW Flags & Sprites Mod, which covers a lot of the same ground
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ikmn2qtcevx32 ... 8.zip?dl=0
It includes flags & sprites from RebBugler, Crikey, Pom, Davinci, and Zeke. My thanks to all of these gentlemen, and also to MTG for re-packing some of the sprites for use with MP. Be warned – it’s quite a large mod.
While it includes Pom’s original sprites, it does not include those nice shading modifications (and I am hoping Davinci finds them Smile). There are also some other gaps in both flags and sprites. The main one is the lack of flags for the Confederate Army of Tennessee in 1862-3. But overall the coverage is pretty good.
The mod includes theatre-level OOBs, for different regions and different years. These are primarily intended for sandbox play or for use with one of the Scenario Generators. They are not related to specific battles, but rather representative OOBs for a particular theatre in a particular period. In some cases, they have been expanded to include all mobile units in a theatre, as they could have been present in a battle, with different orders from senior commanders. This is particularly the case with the Trans Mississippi OOBs, which typically include the forces in Arkansas and the Indian Territory, as well as those in West Louisiana. As another example the 1861 Virginia OOB includes the Union troops of Patterson and all the Confederate units of Joe Johnston, as well as those who fought at Manassas/Bull Run. With various combinations of flags and sprites, I have tried to capture the changing appearance of the Union and Confederate armies, especially the latter.
This is very much a work in progress, which is why I have not been as diligent as I should have been in posting it on this forum. Apologies to all. Am currently working on the next version, which will cover the ACW in Indian Territory in more detail, with various battle OOBs, a scale of 1:3, and additional bespoke flags and sprites very kindly produced by RebBugler and Pom.
I welcome any feedback, and please do let me know if you spot any mistakes.
