Problem loading demo
Hello. I just downloaded the demo. The install program seemed to run fine, but when I try to run the game I get a Microsoft visual C++ Runtime error that says "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way."
I did a search on the forums and saw some ideas, so I tried the following to troubleshoot.
First, I uninstalled the demo. Then I re-downloaded the demo and tried installing to a different partition on my drive. I have tried that multiple times, and I have tried running the install program and the game as administrator. I am running Windows7.
Any ideas what to try next?
Thanks in Advance,
Sundown101

Re: Problem loading demo
The anti-virus app AVG has caused this issue before. If you're running this turn off it's firewall and see if that helps.

Re: Problem loading demo
I only use this computer for gaming, so I don't have any anti-virus program installed. I did have a demo of malwarbytes which I uninstalled. After that, I tried the game, same error. I went ahead and uninstalled the game and reinstalled from my download but still got the same error.
Any ideas on a next step?

Re: Problem loading demo
I would try to download the demo again. I know you already have twice, but perhaps from another internet connection if possible. We've had a few problems with that server in the past corrupting downloads.

Re: Problem loading demo
I uninstalled and tried downloading from the Softpedia US mirror. After reboot and reinstall, same error message and same log file.
I know this is a shot in the dark, but do you think I have a corrupt dll file that is newer than one your program installs?
Anyway, thanks again.

Re: Problem loading demo
The downloaded size should be 235 MB. Does this check out with your download?

Re: Problem loading demo
I just got a chance today to try the info above. I have downloaded the demo 3 times, each one is 234mb. The one I currently have installed displays 234 MB (246,107,199 bytes) when I check the properties
I have tried reinstalling and choosing Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode, and have tried run as administrator. I only have one user setup on this machine.
Still the same error message.
Do you think if I purchased the full game I should have better luck?
Thanks
