It would be good if we could have an agreement not to toggle trees off. I never understood why NSD didn't make that an option set by the host in MP.Let me know if I am forgetting anything.

Re: Grand Campaign Beta - Need a few volunteers
Might I suggest that all the various "mods" or requirements for gameplay be included in one, succinct document that can be downloaded or printed out! That would certainly simplify the "learning" process and prevent anyone for overlooking necessary information that may be scattered throughout this thread.

I think that the trees should stay... it really adds quite a bit to confusion, and places a real burden on commander with restricted sight. Toggling trees off, becomes such a crutch. Limited sight would be just another step towards some realism, along with getting closer to the saddle.

Re: Grand Campaign Beta - Need a few volunteers
Okay, it seems like everyone is registered now. We have:
William V. Rogers = Rogers/Stonewallis
John A. Beckham = Razorback
Martin P. Jennings = Saddletank (I assume?)
WSH Baylor = Jack/Kerflumoxed
George S. Paterson = Mike (I assume?)
Carter S. Johnston = KCarter
We just have to divide into teams to get this underway.
Post whether you want to be US or CS HERE . Then, once everyone has requested their avatar, and been assigned to a command in either army, we can begin.

Re: Grand Campaign Beta - Need a few volunteers
Hi again
Fine by me if the armies are fictional. My preference is always for historical OOBs in historical campaigns but for testing purposes no problem. Will the divisions be fresh, untried/green 1861 commands or are some players bringing their veteran GCM divisions into the fray?
If we are going for 1861 divisions might I suggest Martin James' mod that introduces all the cool early war uniforms, fancy militias and such? Its very pretty!

Great. Divisions will be new, and on the greener side; not untrained. People won't be bringing their GCM divisions. If you have a link for the mod, and it's compatible with everything else, I'll check it out. Thanks!
Re: Grand Campaign Beta - Need a few volunteers
Will the divisions be generated randomly from the start? I'd really prefer to have eastern theater troops, if possible. NY/NJ/PA etc.

Explanation on the FORUM . Divisions will be generated randomly from the start. They'll be representative of eastern theater troops from the time.
