Quatre Bras Scenario 2 pm F Corps game freezes.

Hello,

I originally posted questions regarding this game freeze on specific scenarios
and not others
QBras 2 pm F corps and
Placenoit French defense (my first encounter with the game freezing I tried other
cavalry scenarios with same result : the game freezes)
How:
the NCO arrives with dispatch and the game freezes -cursor moves I hear music and sounds- but nothing
else.
below is the sowwl log file:
RebBugler and Marching Thru Georgia gave me a couple of fixes for me to try:
(I thanked them they were prompt to answer and helpful)

Music file: change intro music file to other name : no change
full screen=1 change to full screen=0 (it was already full screen=0) no change

I upgraded the KS mods that I was running as requested by MTG because the ones I had were
not current to the new patch.
I did.
I tried running as with Windows XP (service pack 3)
Administrator (I run Win7 Professional)
no way....

I have a AMD Phenom(tm)II x6 1090T processor 3.21 GHz quad core
8 GB RAM
64 bit operating system
AMD Radeon HD 5800 Series Graphic card
ASUS Xonar Essence STX Audio Device
AMD High Def Audio Device.

No,
but I've tried the sandbox (KS Mod) and basically the game
freezes.

I took the mods out and I tried a basic scenario/Quatre Bras :
as soon as the dispatch arrives the game freezes : I'm guessing its not the KS mods. ?? a pickle ! :D

I'm happy to say I resolved the problem by:

1) start with a fresh new install, which loads the proper DirectX version
2) applied the latest patch
3) applied the Quatre Bras DLC
4) set the the screen size (1024x768) and ticking the full screen option
any other for me crashes the game.

the courier event takes place with its message pop up and off I go.
Now to learn how to move large bodies of men :)
All previous 'crash' scenario cavalry and without have for the time being ceased
to take place.
I'll will do some testing with the tutorials and then add the mods to try out.
