GB map compatibility with WL?
Can one use the maps created for GB with Waterloo? I am curious if there were any changes> For example, L.O.S., height, trees (density), etc.
Is it possible that using the maps created for the different game could cause issue?

I am not the map expert but I don't think that they will. However you can answer your own question by putting the file set from a GB map in a WL mod and seeing if it will load.

Hi Jim
Thank you for the reply.
I have tried what you suggest and the maps do load. However, my question was more about how the line of sight, height elevation, terrain effects, etc. differ from GB to Waterloo.

As far as I remember from 3+ years ago, we did not change much on the maps at that level. The maps are the same size and the terrain effects are dictated by the map.csv file which is part of the map package. More of the map development effort for WL was spent on improving the look and feel and on historical accuracy of the terrain and buildings.
