Nice collection you got there.
I still plan to start collecting these with my kids. We grabbed two sets of pre-painted figures when we were in Harpers Ferry a couple weeks ago. A Union squad with a horseman, and a CSA squad with a cannon/artilleryman. I'm not sure the size, but they are about the size of plastic Army Men.

i like your modular concept for the terrain, great way to change up things by moving and rotating the tiles around.

I'll probably stick with the size that we have (20mm maybe?).. Its a travesty how much that store in Harpers Ferry charged for these guys, but they really are cool. They look hand painted, but done very well. Maybe I'll post some pics sometime.
We have a HUGE hobby shop in town that I'm sure has ACW figures. I can see this becoming a great activity to do with my kids. Thy are becoming little civil war buffs just like me.These are smaller, well under an inch tall

Re:Back to ACW
A tour of the battlefield.
This is ment to be a kind of generic ACW battlefield
The main road to Sharpsburg

The wheatfield

The cornfield

Some light woods

Williams Creek, named for a man that drowned in it in 1803, in 1 feet of water

The road splits

this small river flows into Antietam Creek

This road eventualy leads back to Washington
