My congratulations as well. The new graphics look great - just got to re-learn how to play!
Re: Scourge of War - Remastered announced
I realize earlier in this thread it was my idea to integrate the grog toolbar to make it work through the Waterloo battles tab like the stock toolbar. But having seen it now, I'm not sure I like it.
The biggest bummer is defaulting to moving in line. I hate it. Moving in CBD was so much better and cleaner.
Change it back Reb, I made an error in judgement. I was thinking about convenience and seamlessness, and I forgot how many of the gameplay mechanics that I liked were tied to the grog toolbar, and not the core game.

Re: Scourge of War - Remastered announced
Hey Rob
I've got it covered with a companion mod: 'GrogGameplay x64'. I'll get it submitted today, then it will be up to Norb on whether to include it with the Steam package.
Here's what it includes...
Gameplay Modifications:
- The infantry 'March' (movement) default formations are changed from 'Column' to 'Column by Divisions' formations. When given road march commands, formations will default to columns.
- Infantry line formations can't move, they default to 'Column by Divisions' when given move commands. Otherwise, the player has line movement options readily available.
- When engaged, infantry will repeat their loading sequence several times so the firing line stays busy, and more realistic looking with continuous movements throughout the 30 to 40 second loading-firing cycle.
- Adds the 'Fire' (Firing) sprite to the 'Advance While Firing' and 'Withdraw While Firing' engagement sequences. With the stock game only the 'Loading' and 'Ready' sprites appear.
- French, Dutch, and Prussian Battalion line formations have been restructured so they begin and remain three ranks deep. The same restructuring applies also to their respective 'Column by Divisions' formations.
- Battalion line formations are redesigned and segmented by companies per Nation: British Allies 10, French and Dutch 6, Prussia 4 (all complete segments display with full '200 sprites' formations).
- Beefed-up Context Menus
Thanks for this message, maybe it will help get this gameplay mod on board with Steam.

Re: Scourge of War - Remastered announced
Will the old mods work? I assume not. I just like my Coldstream Guards wearing grey pants instead of white.
Re: Scourge of War - Remastered announced
They work for me.
The Guards mod doesn't work I fired up the wrong Waterloo.

Re: Scourge of War - Remastered announced
Anyone know how to link the DLC to the Steam version.... or do those have to be found and downloaded via Steam, too?
Re: Scourge of War - Remastered announced
NVM - figured it out.
