Here you can talk about whatever floats your boat. Your favorite movie, sports team, etc. If it's a little racey, I suggest you post in R&R, otherwise we'll move it for you.
I had the morning off today and since my weekends are pretty much dead with Pop Warner FB and my wife working Saturdays, I get very little surfing time so I go when I can. So today is really my only go day. Problem is that the ocean dosen't really care when I have off. So I looked at the wave reports and it was probably barely ridable if that. So I went anyways and figured at least I could get in an upper body workout. It's beautiful here in September, no tourists, water was 68 and the air was 72. So I go over to my spot at Inlet Beach in Manasquan, NJ and there are 4 other guys out. I know them all and they are in the same boat as me, can only go TH am this week and figured they would get a swim in. I caught a few sub par waves and the tide is filling in and it is just getting worse and worse and I'm gonna get out after one more wave. Then lo and behold only about 100 yards from me this huge whale blows. Well we were really all pretty excited and cheering and hollering. I have never seen a live whale in the ocean. What a treat. It hung out for about 30 minutes and then when out to sea. It just kept circling in and out and flopping its tail and spouting. The ocean always seems to do that for me. On the days I don't want to go out but decide to anyway, she lets me see a side of her that I haven't seen before. That is what keeps me coming back. Really made my day.
Regards,
Greg
