One of Charles Manson's gang of killers, Susan Atkins, died from a brain tumor.
Guess she served her life sentence.

Re:Susan Atkins dead
Those particular crimes always held a horrified fasination for me. Mainly because it was the first real murder case that I comprehended at a young age. I was four, I think, when it happened, and about six, when I first heard about Helter Skelter. That was the book my Mom was reading, and hearing her talk to her friends about it, and what human beings could actually do to each other. It must have been the first of many shatterings of the blissfull ignorance of childhood.
I no longer feared the monster under my bed, as much as the ones outside our windows. Especially after the movie of Helter Skelter came out.
And let's be honest, Charles Manson is a scary dude to look at. Yes, he qualified for "MONSTER" in my young mind.
He still does.

But like Susan Atkins, he'll die in prison.
And to see him in interviews, his complete lack of remorse after all this time. I don't think it would've been an injustice to execute him. Like you rightfully pointed out Chamberlain, taxpayers have been paying the bill all this time. And to what purpose? How has that benefitted anyone other than Manson? In cases like that, I sometimes wish they would just turn those people over to the families of the victim(s).Ephrum wrote:And to think after 40 years, he is still alive, 3 meals a day & a place over his head !!And let's be honest, Charles Manson is a scary dude to look at. Man! If it weren't for the swastika on his forehead, I don't think I would've recognized him. He really looks old.
Your right Louie Raider, he's almost there.
