Norb,

Not that unusual. We had a 2nd. Mass. Co. B, (I think), on the Federal side of our re-enacting group. Would love to say they did a great impression, but that would not be the case. No horses, (our 7th. Michigan boys had them so no excuse there), too much gear and farb uniforms, (too dressy, not campaign enough.) Oh well, cool about the relative though.

It's unusual for me. Didn't realize I had a link, so it's very cool. One site had a picture of them with a horse. I'll do more research later. Didn't see them in any major battles. When I started these games I had no idea there was a link, so it's very rewarding to have one uncovered.

I believe they were with Sheridan in the '64 Valley Campaign. If I remember right, I read something about them in the book "From Winchester to Cedar Creek." Can't remember who wrote it. (All my stuff is STILL in storage. Grrrr...) Anyway, there is stuff out there.
