Hey Mikesla, That is pretty much exactly what is going on with mine. Combat sounds very low or not there at all unless right zoomed on a unit then I can hear but low. I also have to have it turned all the way up and there is no background music.
Hi Bloody Bill.
Oh boy, okay well I'm trying to figure it out so if I find a solution I'll definately will let you know. The only thing I can tell you for now is to install your latest Audio drivers that repaired my low level sound problems, but it hasn't fixed my music yet,I have been battling this for a bit now.
Hang tuff for now Bloody Bill.
Cheers...

So I went and got some really nice surround sound speekers and the sound is wonderful. My old speekers play all my other games with great sound but would not pick up the sounds of sow very well. My new speekers for what ever reason pick up everything very nice. I can hear distant musket fire and the rolling thunder of cannons. I would like to add that I am very excited about this game and after I put alittle time in I will be ready for MP, so be ready I am comeing for you all!
Have a good one guys

Hi.
I don't know if your speaking to me or not but there doesn't seem to be a sound.csv anywhere, not even in the sdk folder. This is going to be a dumb question on my part, is there suppose to be a sounds.csv? Are you talking about the sfx.csv by any chance?
Cheers...

Yes, sfx.csv. You can adjust volumes, min/max distances for sounds etc..

Hi LP.
Okee Dokee, I'll take a peek.
Update: Okay I've taken a peek at the file (very interesting) but I'm no longer having a SFX problems (SFX problems disappeared when I updated my audio drivers), it's just my menu music which isn't playing.
This is so odd (shaking balloon sized head). I wonder if I rename the Gb_NSDButton.wav, and see if this could be causing a stoppage in the menu music from playing.
I guess anything I try will work as well for Bloody Bill.
Thanks again LP.

Hi, I'm back again.
Well that didn't fix the problem (renaming the button wav file to see if would somehow fix the menu music problem. Just thought maybe it was corrupt button wav which could stop the loading of the menu menu file).
NORB, Question sir.
I would like to know if possible what the load sequence is for the .csv files when starting the game? I'm just thinking that maybe something in the loading could be causing a hiccup.
I'm not a brainiac for this stuff at all, it actually tires me out, but if it's not a trade secret could you pass the info along? I doubt that it means anything, I'm just thinking out loud here.
Cheers...
