Hmmmm, I am wondering if NSD will code the ability for having dedicated servers.

I guess the only way is to login to SOWgb's Game lobby, or if you are part of the X-Fire population, then I guess we will meet there as well to cover both bases. With X-fire you can have video, voice if that suits you.

I'll be online to have a game about 8pm tonight my time which is Atlantic. I will be on xfire as well so you can contact me directly if any of you wish too.

If tonight won't work we can do it tomorrow, or whenever suits you.

The game may start then, not sure though, just something to shoot for...hopefully we can get something together.

Also on a much more intriguing note, it has been brought up by a very clever Cleburne to actually video/record several aspects of a MP SOW game, and edit it to advertise the game with a twist. The entire mini-movie would be a historical battle. The video recording would be done by individuals who are only spectators so they can zip about recording the video.

Hadn't noticed that you could be a spectator - because SOW isnt a FPS and you arent spending most of your time getting headshotted and waiting to respawn that had escaped me.

I have heard that from somewhere before (about a year ago) not 100 percent sure though, I could be totally way off the mark on that one.

I think it has something to do with having a player choose being ahead of the army that would allow them to zip about without taking part in the battle..

Someone can take Army command, or Corps command if all the subordinate division commanders are taken by players, and then that person can ride around the battlefield. Also, OOBs can be edited to include commanders with no troops to command for spectator slots.

I should be on 11pm my time so that it hopefully will accommodate other members. The only thing is who will host the game?

I can personally host a 3 man game (useless unless we all fight for the same side, or two can take me on...that shouldn't be a challenge since I more stupid than the AI).

To get a game of 3vs3 or more someone else will have to host....so any takers?

I would suppose Teamspeak is the place since all Mp players of SOW hang out there anyway (damn monopolies).
