Again, thanks for all the kind words.
Cruiser:
I usually use this map for multi-corps battles, about 80,000 men. Very often there will be several seperate battles raging at the same time. The AI is very good at utilizing the new trails Davinci added.

The multi-corps battles are something I have seldom done - I have preferred smaller battles most of the time since I am an incorrigable micro-manager. :woohoo: And, I have a tendance to prefer small units on larger battlefields.
But, one in a while, I "up the ante" and go for the larger, more strategic fights which my computer has never failed to provide..... yet.
I think this is a great mod.

You should try playing with at least two Corps, even if you only plan on moving them one at a time.
You can leave the second Corps to act as sort of a reserve, and just concentrate on moving your original Corps around the map.
The AI will very seldom throw there entire army at you at once, so this will give you some flexibility in commanding all of your forces at once.
I usually Take-Command of one Corps as my primary fighting force, and detach three Brigades from the second Corps to guard against my flanks, this Alpine Map is great for that.
Now if I get into any trouble, I’ll send a courier message to the other Brigades to move to this position, which takes a very long time, but is quite realistic pertaining to how the battles were fought during this time-frame.
I think that the
Alpine Map , along with the
Courier System , and the advanced
AI Maneuvers – that stopped the units from walking through-each-other, has taken this game to a whole new level.
I really can’t think of anything else that I would have liked, or demanded, that this game doesn’t already do!
Norb & Team – did an excellent job with this game!

When I enable the mod for the Alpine map, it doesn't appear in the list of maps for the Sandbox. Did I miss a download for the original map or did I not install something properly?

The Map came with the last patch if I remember correctly!
Did you have the map before applying this mod?

No I did not, which explains it. Where is the download for this at?

It is double the size of the Gettysburg maps. So I believe it is 5X5 miles. Plenty of room for getting into trouble.
