do you mean when in melee mounted? because the horse holder reduction only comes into effect when dismounted skirmishing.

1) Any ranking Officer has the ability to spawn a courier and order units within the same Division - movement orders.
2) Ability to move the Supply Wagons – by Courier.
3) Almost every After-Battle-Report – stated the total amount of troops on the field – and the total amount of units involved in the days fighting.
Such as…Union Forces – 55,000 men with 42,000 engaged in the fighting…
Such as…Confederates – 50,000 men with 41,000 engaged in the fighting…
4) In-Game-Settings that would allow for updated fresh sightings-reports .
Such as…Set Sightings Reports – Division \ Corps \ Brigades – game spawns courier and the courier would report to the nearest ranking unit about such sightings.

Neal, RebBugler made that sprite for you, if I recall correctly.
Also, his toolbar has a "retreat to" command that will allow your men to retreat to a specified spot and help stop some of the running amok.

1) scenario editor.....maybe something like pakfront did for tc2m
2) more and bigger maps
3) campaign......something like ageod´s civil war or like the paradox engines (HOI, EU, etc.) for the "grand scale"
4) the importance of manover marching in a campaign. many marching columns on different streets........arriving at the right time (or not) to give battle. this was most important at that time (jackson at seven days, hill at antietam, gettysburg, longstreet at wilderness, jackson valley campaign, etc.)
5) planned grand scale AI battles. feints, countermarching, and skirmishing. skirmish lines are very important and historical in my opinion.
6) Ingmae OOB tool (for campaign). promotions, army creation tools, drag & drop for corps, division and brigades. a leader database etc.
i know thats not easy to do such things...............but it´s a wishlist

Hmmm - there are lots of options here for a poll, so I'll have to generalise, hope noones idea gets totally left out. I dont seem to be able to create a poll once the post has been started, so I'll link the new post here once its created.
Edit - here it is

Don't know if its an effect of garniers mod, but i really want the other ammo options for artillery to be more effective. would add a lot to realism and strategy of knowing when to use certain kinds of ammo. For instance, shrapnel shot was an effective medium range round type where as solid shot was more effective for long range engagements and counter battery fire. As it is now, players in mp only use solid shot for all ranges except canister range as it is head over heals better than shrapnel.
And don't even get me started on how ineffective howitzers are!

If we could mod arty ammo then other types could be made effective.

My number one wish is that the ability to make firing into the flank or rear of another unit effective. The ability to make this sort of fire realistic was lost in the patch release in March. Since then, the effect of flank fire has been unrealistic in the extreme.
