Sorry, I think you are misunderstanding - those pages are okay since they are not promotional - they provide info on a notable topic (see:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability). If an EA employee started editing the article or something to that fashion however we may have a problem. This:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia: ... deleted%3F may be a good read as well.
If a topic is covered well in third-party sources, it an usually be included.
Also, if you would like the text of your articles you wrote, I can e-mail it to you if you'd like. Personally I think a personal Wiki would be the better idea here - you can set your own rules and all without worrying about the constraints of Wiki.
How could these not be promotional? One mention of a product is making a promotional statement. Anyway I'm tired of chasing this down.

Hmmm, so I placed Scourge of War Gettysburg as a user name is not okay all the while Diablo 3 is okay, Skyrim is okay etc etc.
I don't see any difference. Again, the big boys get away with it.
Like I said I'm tired of chasing, or even trying to understand Wikipedia's reasoning for what is allowed, and not allowed.

Not promotional - they are notable companies with an article about them - these pages are not an advertisement, if they create a notable product, that it can be included in their entry.

Okay here is my example.
Is it advertising if you see a Billboard while driving to work in the morning? or is it just reminding you of a notable product?
So what you are saying is that it depends on the context. So here it is then, lets take Diablo 3 as an example.
I have never heard about Diablo 3 before, and I stumble upon it accidentally while reading articles on Wikipedia. I read all about Diablo 3, and I am so excited by what I have read, I go out, and buy it.
To me your argument doesn't hold water. I see it as one in the same. If I say to you Scourge of War Gettysburg, I have advertised the product (no matter the context of the conversation at hand). Many companies do this today all the time out in the streets of any city. It may not be apparent, but it's there.
I see this as political speak.

I'm just curious but what exactly classifies a company as notable? We have articles and info about us all over the web.. Just do a google search and you will see.

I understand where you are coming from, however Wikipedia has criteria for inclusion, notability. The companies guideline is here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia: ... companies)
You can start a discussion as an IP here
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_ ... companies) if you'd like. I don't make up these guidelines - they are drafted by the community. Like I said, if your subject meets a notability guideline, it may warrant an article.

I understand CMM, I'm not angry with you, and you are doing your job, and that you don't make the rules, you only follow, and enforce them to the best of your ability.
I am interested in the response to Little Powell's question. If anything Scourge of War Gettysburg is a very notable product, and NSD is a respected company of quality. If Diablo 3 is classified as a notable product whatever it's content or who it's designers are (Activision/Blizzard), I can assure you that Scourge of War Gettysburg exceeds Diablo 3 by a factor of 10 if not more, and NSD is far more respectable company than Activision/Blizzard will ever be or ever has been. I can also personally testify that Diablo 3 is not a ground breaking product that deserves special inclusion to the category of being notable.
Take the Scourge of War Gettysburg demo for a test drive (if you are interested), and see for yourself.
Anyway, I do apologize if I am sounding angry with you which I'm not. I also want to thank you CMM for sticking with us here, and helping us better understand Wikipedia's policies.

Mind numbing at best. It's reads like a document written by a very skilled double talking politician, but I do understand it's overall meaning which still does not answer why Skyrim, Oblivion, Electronic Arts, and etc are notable products which would allow them any special consideration.
I can't even go there, far too much to wade through, and just too confusing to follow.
Anyway, I think I got my answer, and I'm not going to pursue going forward with this. I just won't be a part of Wikipedia simply because for me it's very confusing, and is so tight fisted that you can't really do all that much that would make a difference one way or the other.
Sorry NSD, I did try, and I failed... Sorry about that. Also Thank You CMM for your time, and if you could delete the User User:Scourge of War Gettysburg please or if you could post a link for me to request for a account deletion?

Thanks for the effort, Mike. I read their "notability" policy and it did read like a political document but I didn't see anything which excluded us.
