Yeah, I think Davinci is trying to confuse us.. Several of those sprites are from TC2M.

@Martin James – Little Powell is correct in that some of these are from the previous game.

When the game first came out, I didn’t think that the confederate forces had enough variety, so I added in some of the previous graphics. To make them look more rag-tag.

The only down-side is that they are not converted into the new png-files which helps with the fps, although I don’t see any increase in using the png-files.

But, I would like to have some confederate uniforms like that in the picture posted by Michigander .

The attachment unitmodel.csv is no longer available
Mich,

Try this. I did this uniform mod way back when SOWGB first came out. It removes most of the "No-Pack" guys and all of the no-jacket guys from both sides. I kept the Rebs in Federal jackets for the reasons someone stated above. DaV taught me how to do this, BTW. I am a reenactor too and couldn't stand the Federal troops running around in shirt-sleeves. We had a big problem with the FARBS always wanting to take thier coats off when it was hot - pussies.

I put it in a seperate MODS file called Uniform Mod in the MODS section.

Yup. Entire top row of Rebs and two leftmost Union on the first line are not a part of SoW.

A pity as you can see they are much nicer, crisper sprites with richer colours.

Hmm, I like mixing both sets of the uniforms, previous and present, it sort of gives a better variety.

Jack - I told you that I was going to make a modder out of you!

Hey, where have you been lately, I don't see too many post coming from your direction?

I like that idea Davinci. I think the more variety there is in Confederate uniforms, the more authentic it will look. I presume this only works for SP? Do you have some files you can share with us please?

@Martin James - I'm not sure if it only works with the Open Play, I've only played SP type of games.

Sure, you can have any of the uniforms that I have along with the csv files to make the conversion work, the problem here is that they were hosted on a Server that has shut-down.

I do not currently have a method at present to get the files to you, any ideas?

I just checked the size of the GreyMod and it is 370MB, but that figure will be a bit smaller when I compress the files into a zip-format.

Davinci, upload them to any filesharing site like this: http://www.mediafire.com/

I can upload them to my site after that, and have a more permanent link.

G-Man- What if I put them on the map-Server and then you get the Mod from that and host it?

Once you get the files off of the Server, I'll delete it!

That works too.
