It may be something that is added at some point, that way the server could control it. Of course you could just pick up the phone if you wanted to. Our game requires some degree of honor, just like the times we represent.

I agree with Norb. Why would we want a bugged issue of an awsome game?
We can put our sweat into it, and then play.

What I have found in my many years playing online, was with RTS-type games you mostly use teamspeak, ventrillo, or other such programs to talk casually with your teammates (and opponents). There isn't much advantage to be gained (unlike with FPS games), especially since the courier system would be in use. You would still have to wait for the courier to get to its destination before acting on any orders, unless I misunderstand how the courier system is to be used.
Anyways, I don't think it necessary to include it in the game, since it is easily set up outside the game.
Use the time and resources towards other aspects of the game . . . Such as the UglyElmo unit which gives a bonus to your team's morale by supplying the troops with moonshine throughout the battle. Liquid courage! woot!

I thought the UglyElmo unit was in Hooker's Corps, then when he became commander and stopped drinking he sent them to California

If this thread is still about Beta testing & when the testers testing the game for the test release are through, i'm happy to lend a hand if you'll have me.

Just as a reminder:
I plan to apply for testing under the circumstances given to Norb in a PM a long time ago.

I think most here know me. Not to be cocky, but - Norb, I can handle anything you or the team dishes out and yet...... I am at your service if you'll have me.

Right now we think we'll start adding testers before the end of the year. We really still have a lot of work to do before testing, but we also have a lot to be tested. So it's hard to determine if we should bog down the developers answering questions and fixing bugs or if it's better to keep off the testers until we reach alpha (all content in).

Where did this guy come from??? Seems shady...just coming on in here, throwing around words like "cocky" and "I can handle anything"...
Chantilly, I don't know if you understand the kind of people that
Norb is looking for. I think in the fine print he said specifically,
No applications from North Carolina

Hehe,
estabu2 , just a little alpha male vs. alpha male jousting with Norb & the NSD team. I tell you what though, if you have plenty of testers, I would be glad to help out all NSD member questions on these forums after the game is released. Just like on the MMG boards.
Is that better professor ? Now please excuse me, I have some opossum simmering in my double-wide.
