These 4 maps will be a mod. After I pack up the graphics, it will be required that the latest patch 1.4 is installed. All new graphics, sounds, objects(package), screen splashes, terrain, skys, flags (32 by Reb Bugler), OOB's and more. Just need the new patch because of the way the graphics files will be packed. Its all free and the add on packs will not be required, but the latest patch will be. I appreciate you asking that question.

W :ohmy: W, incredible. My god how much more can NSD do for free? I have to say, I am totally astounded by what you folks are doing. NSD must be the ONLY company that offers up free things that are outstanding in quality...Simply amazing.

I don't know guys how much more I can take before I start pasting SOW ad's on people car windshields at the super market. :woohoo:

I agree with you on those two being the best of the best. But I would have to say though that your no slouch either. Your work is top notch, and anyone here who wishs to debate me on this can, can buy the latest addon pack from NSD because you deserve it!

I was provided with a link to your site and was delighted to see a game under development concerning the Red River Campaign and specifically about the Battle of Jenkins' Ferry, Arkansas. Many of the campaigns in Arkansas are often overshadowed by the Battles of Pea Ridge and Prairie Grove so it is good to see the Camden Expedition/Red River Campaign "represented."

I am an avid Civil War enthusiast here in Arkansas and have recently completed a book on the history of the Battle of Jenkins' Ferry: "Harvest of Death: The Battle of Jenkins' Ferry, Arkansas" which should be available in March 2012. One of the reasons for writing the book was that, over the course of the last fifty years since the last detailed history of the battle by Civil War historian Ed Bearss, "Steele's Retreat From Camden and the Battle of Jenkins' Ferry," new information has surfaced that causes the reader and historian to rethink the battle in several ways, chief among them is the discovery of a Confederate Engineers map of the battlefield that is significantly different from the maps that Ed Bearss used in his 1961 book. From the number of fields (Bearss list three while there were actually four) to the names of the fields (accurate for the first time), it causes the reader to reexamine the battle which they will find that the OR's, diaries and after action reports fall much more in line with the newly discovered map. The Engineers map, known as "The Gilmer Map" for the collection for which it is housed at the University of North Carolina is an incredible piece of history and is available for viewing on-line. While I realize that my message is very late in your development plans, I did want to "set the record straight" as to the field of battle. Not only are the number of fields and names of the fields different but the location of the "Jiles House," used by both commanders during the battle is actually in the wrong place in Bearss' book. It was actually located a few miles south near the site of the initial action at Guesses' Creek.

I believe that here in Arkansas there would be tremendous sell potential for your product among not only Civil War enthusiasts but area residents as well. That being said, I would be remiss if I didn't say that I would hope that the game would be as historically accurate as possible which I'm sure you would agree is the right direction to go.

I would be happy to visit with you in more detail and share any of my research material with you as well. I have worked several years on this project and, growing up near the battlefield, have a special interest in Jenkins' Ferry. I live in the Little Rock, Arkansas area and would be pleased to meet any of your team at the battlefield in order to provide a tour of the battlefield as well as areas significant before and after the battle.

I look forward to the exciting prospect that your game offers.

I will correct any issues. My research was based on 4 or so maps that greatly varied in fields, and their names. I look forward to your book as well.
