If i understand correctly...it should be easy. I need a black square 1680 x 1050, with the binocular holes centered in the middle of it? I'll have to scale the holes up or down depending on the size of the rectangle.

Was the scratched - grainy lens you made just an extra semi-transparent layer?
I had to go one step higher with the last number, meaing that my resolution is 1280x1024.

So, I had to make my file size 1280x1280.

I,m not 100% sure if you would have to do the exact same thing.

The (lens) question - I'm not sure about the wording, but I do know that it has to have an (Alpha-Channel).

My Photoshop skills are a work-in-progress-approach-method. (i.e...I just keep doing it till it works).

ok, i made the new binocular .dds, but having a few prolems.

Ive changed the excel file that controls the size etc of the image, but it wont sit centered.

Ive changed the size to 1680 x 1050, with the origin set to 0,0 but it seems to be taking the bottom LHS of the taskbar as 0,0, so all of the screen from there over is black...any suggestions?

Well, there are two answers here, depending on the screen that you are using.

The gscreens.csv file will move the binoculars that doesn't pan around, or the first one that I showed you.

You have to use negative numbers in place of the 0,0. The Code is probably not setup for this, but it works.

The first o - controls the L\R
The second 0 controls the Up\Down.

You might as well practice with this, but this has nothing to do with the other file that pans around.

For that to work, requires that the gui file be edited.

I'm at work now, so I can't give you the exact details.

Or you could just buy one of these and put it on when you use the zoom key. :P

And hope that no-one is watching you!

con20or - I forgot to add the following, use large negative numbers to move the screen, and then reduce in small increments when you are close to lining the screen up.

This is a copy from my file!

NEW,Binoculars,POPUP_Binoculars.dds,,,1,-128,-135,1280,1280,1280,1280,,,

con20or - have you had any time to play around with adding any Filters \ Effects ?

This one is using a blur \ spin \ effect .

Who said that you can't put a square filter into a round one, or something like that, it's been a while since I've seen the movie.

My boys are going into the battle equipped!

The telescope one looks even better!

Havent had a chance to mess with filters yet - just getting to grips with paint.net. Seems to be missing quite a few things I thought would be there.

I tried negative values yesterday, it still seemed to be limited by the LHS of the toolbar.

Ill try again later.

For such a simple idea, this has turned out to be really cool. Nice work. :)
